100 things about carolyn

1) i used to tell people everything about me. i didnt think it was fair to not let them know who i was completely.
2) someone taught me that doing that could potentially set me up for hurt.
3) now i only tell my secrets to people i really trust.
4) while i might not be as trusting as some, i think i've learned to judge who i can trust.
5) i do have secrets.
6) i love gossip.
7) i was raised catholic.
8) i went to an all girls catholic high school.
9) i loved the uniform.
10) i thrive on strict regiments.
11) some people tell me that i am amazingly social.
12) other people tell me that it is nice to see that im not as painfully shy as i used to be.
13) i think i am still shy in certain situations, but that in others i can be fairly outgoing.
14) people perceive me as someone who is very quiet and serious.
15) while i do take some things seriously, those people don't really know me.
16) i don't approve of recreational drug use.
17) i am disappointed when i find out that people who i thought were cool people do drugs.
18) i hate when people ask for advice and then ignore it.
19) i hate when those same people come to you and tell you about how not taking your advice further messed up their lives.
20) i was going to type fucked up their lives there but for some reason felt the need to clean up my language.
21) i've had a mouth like a sailor ever since my friend and i started reciting gnr's get in the ring in the school yard in 7th grade.

23) i've had a pet rat, hamster, gerbil, mice, turtles, fish.
24) i bought a chinchilla for $8 in a silent auction.
25) i didn't know what a chinchilla was at the time.
26) i have a pet dog now. his name is mayte. he is named after prince's exwife.

35) i built a fence without instructions or any real idea what i was doing.

45) one year i got so tanned that in the year book i am darker than the black person next to me.

47) now i burn and peel - though it looks like a tan and peel.

59) i never wanted to get my licence before i started thinking about long distance driving trips.
60) my mother dragged me out of bed and to the dmv a month before i turned 18.
61) as such, my licence photo is worse than most.
62) my passport photo, however, is fantastic.

65) sometimes i envy or resent people who are good at more than one artistic form (ie: music and sculpture).

67) i find it very easy to fixate strongly on one thing.
68) the fixation often only lasts a few minutes, but may return every few months/years.
